Marcus Andrusko – Executive Director
Marcus is the director and founder of the Boundary Waters Experience. Marcus has 
developed a love for the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness throughout his entire life. He started visiting the park at the age of one, and has not missed a summer since. Marcus has been involved in Youth Ministry for many years in, church settings, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and his tenure with Young Life. Marcus has a vision and dream for people to have a wilderness experience in which they will live well in the ways of the Kingdom of God, while being thoughtful and conversational about the things of Jesus. Marcus gained a Masters degree from Bethel University, during which time he studied interpersonal communication, group process, and specifically, wilderness ministry. Marcus’ Masters thesis yielded primary research, which answered qualitative questions as to WHY and HOW wilderness ministry works, and how to improve on conventional wilderness ministry experiences. Currently, Marcus directs the Boundary Waters Experience, is an instructor at Normandale Community College, participates in the his church community, and loves sharing life with his wife – Abby, and four children; Selah, Sage, Havilah, and Elsie.
