This beautiful little journey takes you through some of the most gorgeous areas of the BWCAW. It is a nice trip for groups not wanting a hard physical challenge, but still want a beautiful and diverse experience in God’s great wilderness. Water travel and portaging are present but limited to short distances.
The twelve-mile route begins in Lake One and you will venture through Lake Two and Lake Three, passing many taking advantage of some of the BWCAW’s premier campsites. From there you will go to the south end of Lake Three and take a one-mile hiking trail to Rock of Ages Lake. This lake is secluded and pristine. After this you will venture back to Lake Three and follow your route back through Lake Two and on out through Lake One. Some of the favorite activities along this route are floating in safe rapids, fishing, swimming, and relaxing with friends.
